ENLIGHTENED

In the remote taiga of Khövsgöl, Mongolia, a girl named Gerel accidentally falls from a high cliff due to the karmic consequences of her father’s actions. When doctors inform her family that her condition cannot be treated in Mongolia, she is taken to Hong Kong for medical care.Her father stays by her side in the hospital, watching over her day and night. However, while he briefly meets with Dr. Khurlee, Gerel regains consciousness and mysteriously disappears. When Khurlee finds her, her condition has worsened. Desperate for help, he asks a woman named Min, but she refuses and drives away. Shortly after, Min gets into a car accident and loses her eyesight, ultimately ending up in the same hospital where Gerel is being treated.Despite their differences in language and culture, Gerel and Min form a close friendship. Upon learning that her condition is terminal, Gerel decides to donate her eyes to Min. After the transplant, Min regains her sight but begins to see visions of Mongolia’s untouched nature, shamanic rituals, herds of livestock, and a traditional white ger (yurt). Guided by these visions and Gerel’s final message, Min embarks on a journey to Mongolia.
